County Workers Page

When 250 Local 100 members, friends from ACORN, and other unions marched down Markham Street in support of living wages in Arkansas, Justice of the Peace Donna Massey was leading the way. She spoke about the need for living wages, and is a strong advocate of raising wages for Pulaski County workers.

Many county workers believe that the current pay and raise structure is unfair. The Coulter Study, done in 1999, shows that the County's pay levels are "substantially below market levels." Pulaski County workers didn't need the study to tell them they were underpaid -- they know this from experience. They are organizing to press for living wages and better working conditions.
