| Local 100

Local 100 began as an independent union in 1980 ... Local 100 of the United Labor Unions. Local 100 was issued a charter by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) on May 25, 1984.
After more than 25 years as an SEIU local, in October we became independent again. We enjoyed our time with SEIU and are excited at once again being independent, having the opportunity to rebuild the United Labor Unions, and once again becoming Local 100 of the ULU with new partners on the cutting edge of labor organizing in the Middle South, North America, and the world.
In the last week of October the board will be reviewing new bylaws and a constitution for Local 100 and acting promptly to file these bylaws with the Department of Labor.
These changes happened quickly, so we will be archiving the old material on our website and coming forward with a new homepage and website celebrating our new identity and our future work.
All of these developments are recent. The Dallas leadership meeting of Local 100 discussed and affirmed these changes and our new independence unanimously on September 26th. We will be moving to implement all of these changes as quickly as possible.
Thanks for your continued support in building Local 100!
